ORIGIN — ANY CURRENCY DESTINATION — ANY CURRENCY BEARING — SET BY YOU

The payment layer for buying assets abroad.

Posy connects you, the seller, and every party in between — agent, notaire, lawyer, broker — onto one timeline, with a payment strategy plotted around your deal, not a single spot rate on one lucky day.

The tool

Three ways to hold a course on the rate.

A single conversion on one day is a gamble dressed up as a decision. Posy gives you a charted strategy instead — built around when your deal actually completes, not when the market happens to feel kind.

Spread the risk across the timeline

Instead of converting the full amount on one date, Posy splits your transfer into scheduled tranches across the weeks or months leading up to completion — so no single day's rate decides your outcome.

  • Set your total amount and your completion window
  • Posy schedules tranches automatically across that window
  • Each tranche converts at the market rate on its date
  • You get a blended average rate, not a single-day bet

Watch the market, lock when you're ready

Prefer to stay hands-on? Track the live rate against your target on a simple dashboard, set alerts, and lock the full amount the moment it moves in your favour — or fix a forward rate now for a date up to 12 months out.

  • Live rate displayed against your personal target
  • Alerts the moment your target rate is hit
  • One-tap lock for the full amount, no delay
  • Or fix a forward rate now for a date up to 12 months out

See the likely path between now and completion

Posy models the expected rate trend across your specific time gap, with a confidence band that widens the further out you look — so you can see whether the market favours moving early, waiting, or splitting the difference.

  • Trend line shows the expected rate path to your completion date
  • Shaded band shows the likely range — narrow near-term, wider further out
  • Use it alongside averaging or the live tracker to time your move
  • Modelled on historical volatility for your currency pair, not a guess

How it works

One thread connecting everyone in the deal.

Property and yacht purchases involve more parties than just buyer and seller. Posy sits in the middle, keeping currency and timing visible to everyone who needs it.

Buyer sets the deal

Amount, currencies, and the completion window — entered once, visible to every party from that point on.

Agent & broker confirm terms

Sale price and key dates are confirmed against the listing, so the currency plan lines up with the actual contract.

Posy plots the strategy

Averaging, live-tracked lock, or a mix of both — modelled against your actual completion date, not a guess.

Lawyer & notaire stay informed

Funds are timed to match contractual deadlines, with status visible to legal parties on both sides.

Seller receives funds

Cleared funds land in the seller's currency of choice, confirmed to all parties the moment the transaction closes.

Who it's for

Anywhere a major asset changes hands across a border.

Posy isn't built around one country or one route to ownership — the same tool works whether you're buying a flat in Lisbon with sterling, or paying a yacht builder in euros from dollars.

01

Property buyers

Buying abroad with a mortgage, cash, or sale proceeds from home — averaging or rate-locking against your actual completion date, wherever it is.

02

Yacht buyers & brokers

Hull payments, refit invoices, and crew payroll across currencies — staged to match the build or purchase schedule, not a single invoice date.

03

Sellers & agents

Visibility into where the buyer's funds are in the process, so a deal never stalls on currency uncertainty at the worst possible moment.

04

Second-home & downsizing buyers

Selling at home and buying abroad in the same window — staging both legs so the currency timing doesn't fight the property chain.

05

Repeat buyers & portfolios

Several properties or vessels bought over time — each transaction handled on its own completion date, without starting from scratch.

06

Agents & notaires

A referral partner that keeps your client's transaction moving, with a tool you can point to instead of guessing at bank timelines.

Our name, our commitment

Named after the meadow that protects coastlines worldwide.

Posidonia oceanica is the seagrass that anchors Mediterranean seabeds, buffers coastlines from erosion, and quietly underpins the waters our clients buy property and boats around. Every transaction puts a share of our fee back into protecting it.

Questions

Frequently asked.

What does Posy actually do?+
Posy manages the payment side of a cross-border property or yacht purchase from first agreement to completion — either by spreading your conversion across scheduled tranches (averaging) or by tracking the live rate and locking when you choose to. We also keep agents, lawyers and notaires aligned on timing so the deal doesn't stall on payment uncertainty.
What's the difference between averaging and the live tracker?+
Averaging splits your total transfer into scheduled tranches across your completion window, so you end up with a blended rate rather than betting on one day. The live tracker instead shows you the market rate in real time against a target you set, with alerts and a one-tap lock when you're ready to commit the full amount.
Can I use both strategies on the same transaction?+
Yes. Many buyers average a portion of the amount early to reduce risk, then track the rate for the remainder and lock it closer to completion.
Does Posy only work for certain countries?+
No — Posy works across any country pair, as long as it's tied to buying a physical asset abroad. The tool and strategy are the same whether you're buying a flat in Lisbon or paying a yacht builder in the Netherlands.
Is my money held securely?+
Funds are processed through regulated payment partners and held in segregated accounts, separate from operational funds, in line with standard safeguarding requirements.
